WHAT WAS REQUESTED
Customer had a 3 storey property 6 bedroom, the 3rd floor was just a dumping ground for all stuff and collecting dust. He asked us if there was any way we could turn this into a cinema room without any damage to the room, we accepted the challenge.
WORK UNDERTAKEN
First of all we had site survey with clients and measured up the room and wall which was best for the screen. We managed to fit a 92” fixed wall mounted screen. We we’re very governed on room size so the speaker surround system we installed had to be very discreet.We installed a dolby 5.1speaker system all in wall or ceiling mounted. We opted to use a transparent screen so front left, right, centre and subwoofer could all be hidden behind the screen with quality of sound not disturbed. We managed to cable all this back to the unit where amplifier was housed without any damage to wall, using our special fishing rods and tools. The rear left and right speakers were installed above the head in ceiling space, cabling for this ws a bit more tricky but we managed to get a route up from one loft to another again without no plasterboard damage. We improved the wifi in the room so an amazon fire stick was installed to stream movies and watch youtube and other downloaded apps along with a link from sky box in the lounge so client never had to pay for multiform sky. The projector was a ceiling mounted installation.
THE OUTCOME
Clients ended up with a room that was no longer the dust collector and could watch movies on a large screen and shut of from the world with fantastic dolby digital surround sound.
